Why Researchers Study Kisspeptin-10

1. GnRH pulse generator research. Kisspeptin-10 is the reference agonist for studying how KISS1R activation drives pulsatile GnRH and LH release; the Imperial College London group has published the core human physiology using this fragment.

2. Receptor pharmacology. As the minimal fully active sequence, Kisspeptin-10 is the starting point for structure-activity work on KISS1R agonists and antagonists, including the longer-acting analog MVT-602 studied in female reproductive disorders.

3. Tachyphylaxis and dosing-pattern research. Published human studies compare continuous exposure, which desensitises the axis, with intermittent exposure, which sustained gonadotropin output over 12 days, a model question that extends to other peptide hormones.
